00:00We are heading back up to the first member of the potential Rookie of the Year Club on the men's side.

00:06Toby Rafford came onto the scene with a huge splash in Spain.

00:11His sister Addie, former Freeride World Tour competitor, just arriving in Verbier today

00:15to cheer on little brother Toby.

00:17And Toby getting things started aggressively here up at the top of the Petit Bec.

00:21This is a fascinating venue for Toby. He's known for his smooth, dripping-like style

00:27but you can see that he still has just as good of technique as everyone else

00:31as he just laced through the closeout. Huge 360!

00:36And bouncing out of that landing, he's trying to get his poles back into his hand.

00:41Toby Rafford, no! He doesn't quite make it up onto that feature.

00:46It looked like he was just trying to get his pole back into his hand.

00:49That's so distracting for a skier. He got up onto the feature but wasn't able,

00:53quite able, to get off of it the way he wanted. You can see the emotion there.

00:58The riders, they put everything into this.

01:02They really tie themselves up into their performance in these moments.

01:19Well, the emotion just pouring off of Toby Rafford.

01:22This hand drag 360, the best landing.

01:26Oh no, you can see the poles getting bounced out of his hand when your arms get flapped out like that.

01:31Yeah, and you can tell this is where Ross just had to put his skis in the fall line

01:35and Toby really tried to get up but I think it's pretty thick snow in there.

01:39The same kind of snow that ate Turdell's ski.

01:44But yeah, this landing is really bouncing all of the men right out of it.

01:49Yeah, and as you said, there's two contrasts we can make here.

01:52One to the decision that Ross made to just pump right down the fall line

01:56and another to the precision that Weitian had to land a backflip off of that

02:01and still be able to cut across to the next feature.

02:04These riders, they're so good at this but the precision required

02:09when they are pushing at the top of their own envelope is insane.

02:14The intensity of what they're trying to do.

02:17He wanted that turn so bad but even a man as smooth as that not quite able to get that

02:21and he had to give it up which is probably wise because if he had kept going that way

02:25he probably would have just fallen off of that cliff.

02:27So Toby Rafford, not quite the full execution but one of the moves of the day

02:33with that just perfect stylish 360 and that landing is getting firmer.

02:38We've seen Weitian, Timo, Ross and Toby all taking on that air

02:43so it's definitely starting to set up a bit in the landing I think.
