00:00get sharked out there so Michaela's gonna be need to need to be light on her

00:04feet coming through here as we said out of Newcastle Australia spending a ton of

00:09time in Revelstoke BC Michaela Davis-Meehan looking to get it done and I

00:14am not surprised one bit that she chose the powderiest side of this venue that's

00:20where she thrives that's where she is in her happy place and Michaela now out of

00:24the start gate from start one you can see how many rocks just litter the top

00:30of this venue making super technical turns in and around them taking her

00:36first feature again everything below is just rock had to land it did so without

00:43any issues and riding her way down through this shady section of the venue

00:47yeah and Michaela getting a grab off that first feature so really with a nod

00:52to that Aaron style category as she comes down now we see the tracks ahead

00:57of her this area is getting more traveled or has has been more traveled

01:01as she's got this wind let pop in the 360 a little short but staying on her

01:06feet I think maybe she didn't have quite as much speed into that wind lip as she

01:09thought but she did stay upright so Michaela Davis-Meehan now on her

01:14campaign for extreme verbiage glory as she comes in now you see the heavy

01:19traffic that this part of the face is seen and Michaela not only has to

01:23navigate the features but all of those tracks as well yeah look how big the

01:26bomb holes are below this feature just massive really smart going a completely

01:30different direction avoiding everything below her getting control on that heel

01:35set edge and here comes the heartbreaker but I think she's taking a play out of

01:41the ski women whoa finding her own takeoff and her own landing a totally

01:46different trajectory there for Michaela Davis-Meehan and executing it perfectly

01:51so strategy coming into play we saw that one taking down so many riders in other

01:57categories ski snowboard men and women and Michaela Davis-Meehan putting her

02:03own stamp on that one and finding a way to keep it clean and on her feet as she

02:08is through the arch safe and sound at the bottom of the back you know I think

02:13when you ride the back with someone else that is a bond for life Michaela

02:17making memories here and just showing great technical riding and and unique by

02:22going out of that start that we didn't see too many people ride today yeah

02:26looking back at the way she opened this up Hadley a really strong way to start

02:30her run yeah past the bomb hole I think that was Martin Bender's bomb hole

02:35potentially and making her way every feature so smart that she hit was a

02:40different takeoff and finding her own fresh landing yeah three big hits on

02:45that run and all of them landing perfectly Michaela coming off the

02:51riders left side finding a nice landing able to manage that weird crusty snow

02:57that took down so many skiers and some of the snowboard men as well so Michaela

03:01all smiles in the finish hands up solid solid season of riding for the Australian

03:08there as she right now is in second overall as we said the title is not in

03:12play for snowboard women today Noemi Aki locked that up but a win on the back is

03:17almost as valuable in the trophy case so the score to beat 74 going up up up 83

03:23points for Michaela Davis Meehan
