00:04How do I face you?

00:13Welcome. All the recitations are telling us that

00:16the month of Mubarak is entering its last phase.

00:18The competitions that are going on are entering the second phase,

00:21in the quarter-finals.

00:22The nature of the questions is that of etiqaf,

00:24the questions of fitraneh are coming.

00:26This is becoming clear.

00:27Etiqaf is such a great blessing.

00:30What is the importance of it?

00:33We will talk about it in the session.

00:35Qibla Mufti Sohail will start.

00:37In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

00:39Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his companions.

00:43The etiqaf that is done among Muslims here

00:47is the etiqaf of the last ten days of Ramadan.

00:51This is especially done by Muslim men in mosques.

00:55Etiqaf can be done in any mosque where there is prayer.

00:59Women do it in their homes, in the Masjid-e-Bait.

01:03If there is no place available for prayer,

01:07they do etiqaf there.

01:09Usually, after the 20th day of Ramadan,

01:14the etiqaf is done before Maghrib,

01:18before Maghrib prayer, before sunset.

01:21And when the moon of Eid-ul-Fitr is seen,

01:23this etiqaf is done.

01:26This is such an important thing that Allah says,

01:30I have taken an oath from Abraham and Ismail

01:40to keep my home pure for those who perform tawaf and etiqaf.

01:46And in Hadith-e-Paq,

01:47Allah forgives the one who does etiqaf for one day with faith and accountability.

01:54What to say?

01:56In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful.

01:58The etiqaf of the Holy Prophet is a Sunnah

02:03which he did with steadfastness.

02:06And in Hadith-e-Paq,

02:17Allah says that between hell and heaven,

02:20there is a distance of three pits.

02:22And between one pit and the other pit,

02:24there is a distance of more than the earth and the sky.

02:26And second, Allah says,

02:34The one who does etiqaf,

02:36Allah will reward him for all the good deeds he did outside

02:40that he couldn't do here.

02:44Whether or not someone is blessed,

02:47but the one who does etiqaf,

02:49surely Allah's blessings and mercy will come to him.

02:54And it must be arranged.

02:57And don't say that I don't have time.

02:59Don't say that.

03:01Say that because of some shortcoming, Allah is not giving me the opportunity.

03:05What to say? Khibla Mufti Amir Sahib.

03:10The real process of etiqaf is that we are cut off from all things.

03:15In the mosque, we are a guest in the house of Allah.

03:20In Christianity, there is a concept of Rehbaniyat.

03:27In which they are cut off from all the worldly things.

03:31They make all worldly things haram on themselves.

03:34Relatives, relatives,

03:37Husband, wife, children, even meeting the mother.

03:40They leave all worldly things.

03:42But what is the difference?

03:44The difference is that they used to do this all the time.

03:47A person has a little zeal.

03:50There is a regular tendency towards Allah,

03:53that I should become a Fakir and go in the court of Allah.

03:56To fulfill the natural requirements of that person,

04:00these ten days were set.

04:02That is, a person should not be cut off from the world all his life.

04:06But ten days should be like this.

04:08It is said in the Qur'an,

04:11In which, the one who is cut off from all,

04:13the one who is removed from all,

04:14should be the one.

04:15In that, a person will make love to Allah.

04:18He will love Allah.

04:20He will get salvation from hell.

04:22The night of Qadr comes in these nights.

04:24He will get that.

04:25That is, rewards are received.

04:27It is a package.

04:29In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Merciful.

04:30If you look at the order of the ten days,

04:32then when fasting can be kept in Jafri,

04:34then it is possible to perform I'tikaf.

04:36And the duration of I'tikaf is at least three days.

04:39There can be an increase in this.

04:41And here it is only ten days.

04:43And what to say,

04:44if a person gets this I'tikaf in the month of Ramadan,

04:47that is, in the fasting of the month of Ramadan,

04:49the worship of fasting in the day,

04:50and then especially at night,

04:51in the court of the Lord of the worlds,

04:53he gets a special chance to do Arz-e-Adab.

04:55Then after that,

04:56in the blessed month of Ramadan,

04:57what to say,

04:58that he gets the I'tikaf of the last ten days,

05:00which has been a way of the Prophet.

05:04So it is very good.

05:05And in this,

05:06I'tikaf can also be done in the mosque.

05:08We have an emphasis that

05:10there is Masjid-ul-Haram,

05:11there is Masjid-e-Nabawi,

05:12there is Masjid-e-Basra,

05:13there is Masjid-e-Kufa.

05:14And then in the mosque of the city,

05:15this worship can be done.

05:17Not in every mosque,

05:19but in the mosque of the city,

05:20this worship can be done.

05:22Then from a jurisprudential point of view,

05:23one exception is that

05:24if our women also want to do I'tikaf,

05:26then for them,

05:27there will be a portion in the mosque itself,

05:29where I'tikaf can be done.

05:30It can't be done in the house.

05:31They can do their worship in the house.

05:32Right.

05:33They can do Raz-e-Niaz from the Lord.

05:35Like Masjid-ul-Bayt,

05:37in that,

05:38in the presence of the Lord,

05:39they can recite the Holy Qur'an.

05:40Everyone can do it.

05:41But it is not called I'tikaf in this term.

05:44This is a difference.

05:45Then after that,

05:46if you see,

05:47on purpose,

05:48as Mufti Amir Sahib was also saying,

05:49that we do not have Rahbaniyat,

05:51we do not have monasticism,

05:52we are not being made monks.

05:53It is not that the world should be cut off.

05:55Yes.

05:56But the way the car is running on the road,

05:59but to fill the petrol,

06:00it is brought to the petrol pump.

06:02Yes.

06:03So that the petrol runs out in it,

06:04it comes to the petrol pump,

06:05the petrol is put in it,

06:06so that it can run on the road again.

06:09Wow.

06:10In the same way,

06:11you will see that sometimes,

06:12it is brought to the workshop for overhauling,

06:15so that it can be tuned,

06:16it can be seen,

06:17so that it can run properly again.

06:20This is the matter of man.

06:22The mosque,

06:23in the same way,

06:24all the other places of worship,

06:26I use an expression for them,

06:28that this is a petrol pump for us.

06:30Keep coming daily,

06:31keep checking your petrol,

06:33whatever is lacking,

06:34keep filling the petrol of spirituality.

06:36And then after that,

06:37in the month of Ramadan,

06:38the phase of overhauling comes.

06:40Overhauling reaches its peak and prime,

06:42when a person becomes a Muttaqif.

06:44What to say?

06:45Wow.

06:46JazakAllah.

06:47A lot of praise.

06:48We also talked about Fazeelat,

06:49There are some details about Fazeelat.

06:51We talked about that only.
