Friday brings a tornado and damaging winds risk for millions, extreme fire danger in Texas and a blizzard in parts of the north-central U.S. AccuWeather's Bernie Rayno breaks down the triple threat of extreme weather.

00:00We have a triple threat of weather on Friday.

00:03We begin in the Southwest Plains and West Texas where we're going to be looking at extreme

00:08fire danger on Friday.

00:09In fact, I'm convinced we're going to see rapidly spreading fires because of winds gusting

00:15to between 70 and 80 miles per hour Friday afternoon.

00:19Those same winds will also cause dust storms in western and central Texas.

00:24And I think the wind is going to be strong enough that Dallas will likely have ground

00:28stops at the airport because of those wind gusts in the afternoon.

00:33On the northern side of the storm, a blizzard will unfold Friday night into Saturday across

00:39eastern parts of North Dakota, South Dakota, and northern Minnesota.

00:43Grand Forks, also Fargo, will get at least a half a foot of snow and that snow will be

00:49blown around Friday night.

00:51Meanwhile, we have the high risk of severe weather that does include the city of St.

00:56Louis.

00:57We're looking at hundreds of reports of damaging winds Friday afternoon, Friday night, and

01:03we also believe there will be tornadoes on the ground as we get toward Friday afternoon,

01:09Friday night, especially from northern Arkansas, southern parts of Missouri, and the downstate

01:14Illinois.

01:15And oh, by the way, the tornado risk continues on Saturday across the central Gulf Coast

01:21states.

01:22Extreme weather Friday into Saturday.
