00:00Following the implementation of the Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System, or HELPS,

00:06the Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD,

00:10has reported a surge in applications for minor traveling abroad or MTA clearance

00:16throughout its online platform.

00:18According to Assistant Secretary Ada Colico of the DSWD Protective Program,

00:24the agency has received over 1,700 applications

00:29since the launching of HELPS.

00:31On average, they process 127 applications daily,

00:35with 750 clearances already issued.

00:39Despite the digital platform's increasing usage,

00:43some applicants still prefer to process their clearance through DSWD regional offices.

00:49The agency also encourages the public, especially those applying for MTA clearance,

00:55to utilize the HELPS system for a more convenient and efficient application process.
