"I'm 33 and best friends with my 74 year old neighbor"

Brooke McNelis, 33, formed an unbreakable bond with her 74-year-old neighbour, Tom S, after saving him when he fell in his garden in July 2021.

The San Diego resident found Tom after he had been stranded for three hours and got him medical help.

Since then, they have become best friends, texting daily and sharing weekly meals.

Tom now spends holidays with Brooke and her fiancé, and she cherishes his wisdom and advice.
