00:00Officials of the Department of Health will visit several hospitals in Metro Manila
00:04to find out how well the hospitals are prepared to deal with dengue cases.

00:16Princess, according to the last report of the Department of Health,
00:19the number of people suspected of contracting dengue has decreased this past week.
00:26According to the Department of Health,
00:28more than 14,000 cases of dengue were reported from February 2 to February 15, 2025.
00:35Ten percent of dengue cases were reported from January 1 to February 1.
00:42The most reported cases are from Calabarzon,
00:45where more than 12,000 were reported,
00:47followed by the National Capital Region and Central Luzon.
00:50The most cases of dengue are among children aged 14 years and below.
00:56The case fatality rate remains low this year,
00:59at 0.35 percent compared to 0.42 percent last year.
01:05Although the number of new dengue cases has decreased,
01:08the government expects that the number of cases of dengue in the country will increase when it rains.
01:14DOH is reminding people to clean and open the waste bins that contain dengue.
01:21Meanwhile, today, the Department of Health conducted hospital rounds
01:25at the Rizal Medical Center here in Pasig City
01:28to ensure the readiness of the hospital for the treatment of dengue.
01:31In addition, the DOH campaign continues at 4 p.m. against mosquitoes.
01:36The DOH also continues to provide dengue fast lanes in various places in the Philippines
01:41for patients with dengue.
01:44The DOH also advised the public and local governments
01:49to continue or regularly conduct vector control activities
01:53or opening the waste bins.
01:56The DOH is still encouraging volunteers, health workers, and local governments
