00:00At the same time as the declaration of dengue outbreak in Quezon City,

00:04because of the increase in the number of cases,

00:06the local government is continuing its efforts to lower the number of cases.

00:19As soon as the dengue outbreak was declared,

00:21the Quezon City Health Department

00:23continued to increase the number of cases of dengue in the city.

00:31The number of cases of dengue in Quezon City increased to almost 2,000 in January.

00:36This is more than 200% compared to the previous year at the same time.

00:43Most children become victims of dengue.

00:46In the last 5 to 17 years, the highest number of cases in Quezon City reached 58%.

00:54The highest number of cases of dengue in Batasan Hills

00:57was 133, followed by 102 cases,

01:02and the Commonwealth has 12 cases of dengue.

01:06In order to continue increasing the number of cases,

01:09more than 60 health centers in Quezon City were opened every day and every weekend.

01:15Test kits for health centers and hospitals are free,

01:19and barangays are doing fogging and spraying,

01:22particularly in barangays in Quezon City,

01:24where the highest number of cases of dengue were reported.

01:27The Quezon City Information Campaign has also been launched

01:30to avoid dengue tips.

01:32That's why people are looking for and cleaning their face

01:40or wearing long sleeves and pajamas,

01:42using mosquito repellent, and drinking water.

01:52Breeding sites in our surroundings have increased in Quezon City.

01:58There are a lot of breeding sites, a lot of mosquitoes,

02:01and possibly the spread of dengue virus.

02:05Less than 1% of cases have been fatal.

02:13Alan, some of the early signs of dengue are rashes,

02:18a fever that can reach 40 degrees Celsius,

02:21and a headache in the back of the eyes.
