00:05If yesterday was the first available day to negotiate with free agents,

00:10I don't know about that with so many players getting signed yesterday.

00:14It would seem like maybe conversations were had previous.

00:18We'll see.

00:19Let's start off with the Seattle Seahawks.

00:20Their new quarterback is Sam Darnold.

00:22Signs a new three-year contract worth a hundred million dollars.

00:25Revitalized his career with the Minnesota Vikings.

00:28A great regular season.

00:29A poor ending to the season as well.

00:31And look, Seattle may be going in a number of different directions.

00:34This offseason DK Metcalf's already been traded.

00:36Tyler Lockett has been let go.

00:38Maybe Darnold is just there to hold the fort down for the future.

00:41Not really sure.

00:42But needless to say, it looks like J.J.

00:45McCarthy takes over Minnesota.

00:46Darnold now officially the quarterback in Seattle.

00:49Meanwhile, the New York Jets have their quarterback, I guess.

00:52Fair to say.

00:53Maybe a placeholder too.

00:54I don't know.

00:54Justin Fields, who looked pretty good last year with the Pittsburgh

00:57Steelers, signs a two-year $40 million contract with New York.

01:01He gets $30 million guaranteed.

01:02So he will start at quarterback next season.

01:05Again, start off very well with Pittsburgh until they went to

01:07Russell Wilson.

01:08And then the Steelers season sort of imploded at the end of the

01:11year.

01:11Meanwhile, with the signing of Devontae Adams, the Rams are

01:15planning to release Cooper Cup with the start of the new year.

01:18Contracts are concerned, unless a trade materializes.

01:21But naturally, they've been unable to do anything.

01:23Third round pick.

01:23Fifth round pick.

01:24It's expected that Cup will get cut.

01:26All right.

01:27Let's get to some other players signed on the defensive side and

01:29offensive line as well.

01:30We'll start off with the New England Patriots.

01:31They've made a lot of noise thus far in the free agency period.

01:34They've signed Milton Williams to a four-year contract worth $104

01:39million.

01:40Sixty-three of it is guaranteed.

01:42Carlton Davis signs another contract with New England.

01:44It's three years, $60 million. And Josh Swett, he signs a mega

01:48contract with Arizona, four years, $76.4 million.

01:53And Jets defensive back, DJ Reed, has decided to leave for

01:57greener pastures, no pun intended. Signs with the Detroit Lions,

02:00three years, $48 million.

02:02Also, in terms of the Washington Commanders, they continue to

02:06upgrade this offseason, not only by getting Deebo Samuel, but

02:09also helping out on the offensive line.

02:11They signed Pro Bowl offensive tackle Laramie Tunsil, or they

02:15make a trade for him and are sending picks over to the Houston

02:17Texans. So the Texans, of course, are going to need some help,

02:20I guess, on the offensive lineup.

02:21They've traded him as well.

02:23The Falcons have released Grady Jarrett.

02:24He signs with the Bears, three years, $43 million. And the

02:2749ers have lost offensive tackle Jalen Moore.

02:30He signs with the Chiefs, two years, $30 million. Looks like

02:33the San Francisco 49ers are scaling back in terms of payroll

02:36going into next year.

02:38All right, now in the National Basketball Association, the

02:40great matchup last night between Denver and Oklahoma City goes

02:44to the Nuggets. Final score, 140 to 127 in this one. Shea

02:49Gildress-Alexander had 25 points for the Thunder. Denver

02:53Nuggets dominated the fourth quarter to pull away in this

02:56one, and Mike Ballone, their head coach afterwards, said it

02:59was a matter of getting the job done.

03:01You know, anytime you can go against the number one team

03:07in the West, and I told our guys, you know, I know the fourth

03:10quarter didn't go our way, but we did a lot of good things

03:13yesterday. We just have to play closer to 48 minutes.

03:17I thought we did that today.

03:18We tried some different things defensively that I thought

03:21were really impactful, but this was a, you talk about everybody

03:24contributing, and this was everybody stepping up and making

03:27big plays, and you can go down the line.

03:30I mean, CB's 14 and 5 and 5, Michael Porter 17 and 6,

03:35Nikola 35 and 18 with eight assists, one steal, one block,

03:41Russell Westbrook.

03:43What about that ovation for him?

03:44I mean, doesn't that say a lot about Russell Westbrook and

03:47how this community still feels about him?

03:49But 16, 7, and 5. Jamal's numbers, and I thought Peyton off

03:53the bench, you know, was outstanding.

03:55He was at DPOG, Jalen Pickett, Zeke.

03:58So good team win, responded well.

04:01I thought our defense in the second half was much better than

04:03it was in the first half, helping the 41%.

04:06Good assist turnover numbers and good transition numbers.

04:10So we can't relax.

04:12We know we got a tough schedule coming up at home, and then

04:14we got to find a way to protect our home court.

04:17Golden State wins their fifth straight game.

04:19They end up beating the Portland Trailblazers, final 130 to

04:23120 in this one.

04:24Jimmy Butler had the big one.

04:26Triple-double, 15 points, 10 assists, 10 rebounds, his first

04:30triple-double of the season.

04:32Golden State now 12-2 since Jimmy Buckets made his debut

04:36on February the 8th, and after the game, Steve Kerr said

04:40Jimmy Butler is doing it in every way possible.

04:43Great basketball player.

04:44I mean, just, he does everything.

04:47He does everything well.

04:48He sees the game.

04:49He's strong, loves to pass.

04:52The game just flows when he's out there, and he feels it,

04:56whatever the game calls for, Jimmy brings.

04:58And, you know, he's the main reason that things have turned

05:05for us.

05:05I mean, he's one of the best players in the league, and he

05:08makes everybody else around him better.

05:10Jimmy, you guys have won 10 of 11, you're 12-1 with you

05:17in the lineup.

05:18I think there's 17 games left.

05:20You know, what's the value in peaking at the right time

05:23in the season?

05:24I mean, I think all the value lies in winning as a whole.

05:28I'm glad that I have the opportunity to be a part of the

05:32winning that we're doing here.

05:34Most players that we're playing basketball, playing together

05:36on both sides of the court, it's really fun.

05:40It's the first time in NBA history that four teammates have

06:05done it in the same season.

06:06Head coach Joe Mazzulla said that he encouraged Hauser to

06:09keep on shooting.

06:10I mean, just trust.

06:11I think, you know, trust and belief.

06:13I think at the end of the day, like, there's no shot that

06:16he shoots that we think is a bad shot.

06:18And so I think it was great that even when he was one for

06:20seven, the team was still looking to find him.

06:21And I thought it was great in that third quarter.

06:24But to me, I think, you know, he's a straight shooter.

06:26He understands his work ethic.

06:27He does the same process every day, whether he does this

06:30or whether he goes, you know, one for seven.

06:32So, you know, the work that he puts in with the staff, the

06:37player development team, and just his overall approach is

06:40high level and very professional.

06:41So not much to be said.

06:44Honestly, I don't really know.

06:45It's just kind of a tale of two halves.

06:48But once you see a couple go in, you know, the room gets a

06:51little bit wider for a shooter.

06:52So you just try to keep letting it fly.

06:55When you did make that one-on-one, you kind of like gave

06:58a, it's about time type of.

07:00Yeah, you know, I got to be better with that.

07:03Sometimes when you, you know, you miss open ones that you

07:06think you should make, you just get mad and frustrated really

07:09easy.

07:09So I've been working on it this year a little bit.

07:12So, but sometimes you just need to let it out.

07:15Meanwhile, the Knicks three-game road losing streak has come

07:19to a close.

07:20Carl Anthony Towns at 26 points and nine rebounds as New York

08:04A lot of playmaking, and then Deuce really gave us a great

08:08game, all-around game, start to finish.
