00:03It is a complicated situation.

00:05He is slated to miss probably all of April.

00:09We expect to get him back sometime in May.

00:10He's only 27 years old and only one year removed

00:14from a 40-70 season where he hit 330.

00:18That's pretty good.

00:19That is a player that is going to make a massive impact.

00:21Now, currently his ADP is somewhere around

00:25the 27th player off the board.

00:27So you're looking potentially at a third-round investment

00:30in most leagues in Acuna.

00:33April is April.

00:34It's a very bountiful time on the waiver wire.

00:37I'm willing to draft Ronald Acuna for a couple reasons.

00:39Number one, there's going to be outfielders

00:42that slip through the cracks that people go,

00:43oh, look, who's this guy that just popped up out of nowhere?

00:46He's playing right field for this team

00:47that I can stick in that outfield spot for a couple weeks.

00:50Maybe I catch lightning in a bottle

00:52and then I drop them or put them on the bench

00:54when Ronald Acuna is healthy.

00:56The last time we saw Ronald Acuna return

00:58from this ACL tear, everybody talked about,

01:01well, you got to watch him.

01:03He's not going to steal bases anymore.

01:04Well, that wasn't the case.

01:06In 119 games in 2022 when he returned,

01:09he stole 29 bases in those 119 games.

01:12It was actually the power that lagged behind.

01:14He only had 15 home runs and keep in mind,

01:17this was before the rules change in Major League Baseball.

01:21They made it easier to steal bases.

01:23So George, I'm going to ask you right here,

01:27third round, Ronald Acuna is on the board.

01:29You know what kind of impact he can make.

01:31If he can give you five months,

01:32is he worth a top 30 pick overall?

01:35I say yes, what say you?

01:38Hell no, not even close.

01:41All right, there's no way I'm spending a third round pick

01:44on Ronald Acuna.

01:46Hey, he's not, he's going to miss a month.

01:47And I mean, I can make all the jokes you want here.

01:51You're smelling the daisies here.

01:52You're smoking the good stuff.

01:54I mean, cause you're assuming he comes back

01:56and he's Ronald Acuna.

01:57All right, and we don't know that.

01:58And by the way, he's quoted as saying,

02:00I'm not going to run as much this year.

02:02I mean, he's quoted as saying that.

02:04So there's no way I'm taking him.

02:05Listen, I hope he does.

02:07All right, I really hope he comes back here.

02:08Now I'll feel, I'll talk about a redraft league,

02:11by the way, and a keeper league or a dynasty league,

02:13completely different question here.

02:14Then I'm taking Acuna.

02:15But in a redraft league, I already said it.

02:17I am very, I'm a very conservative drafter.

02:20All right, I get worried, you know, with later picks.

02:22Now you want to talk about one of my premium picks?

02:24You want me to take a player who's,

02:25I already know he's going to be out.

02:26I have no idea he's going to be that player he used to be

02:29for a month, once he comes in, two months.

02:31What if he gets off to a slow start?

02:32What if he gets hurt again?

02:33And he's telling the truth about not running.

02:35And honestly, I'm the first person to tell you,

02:37I don't know if he's telling the truth.

02:38What he says in February may not be what he means in April.

02:40You know, we'll see.

02:42But I do think, I don't think he'll run as much.

02:44I don't think the Braves are going to run as much.

02:45All right, hit the ball.

02:51as they get going for the playoffs here.

02:52I think the Braves know they're more than likely
