All right, let's start off our National League West preview concludes with a discussion on
00:11
the Dodgers and the National League West.
00:14
Let's start off with their season win total, which is as high as I can ever remember a
00:17
season win total being.
00:20
Let's go buy or sell George the Dodgers will win 110 games or more.
00:26
I should say this season because the landing on 110 is definitely a sell.
00:30
So let's say 110 or more this season.
00:33
So 110 and 52 or better.
00:37
Yeah, there are some who believe the Dodgers will set the record this year, right?
00:40
Was it 117 wins in a season sets the record?
00:45
They certainly can.
00:46
All right, you and I already went over that.
00:47
I mean, that pitching staff, they could throw up there with eight, nine stars.
00:51
So if they have a rash of injuries like they had last year, they'll be just fine here.
00:55
The offense should cook, they can hit.
00:58
I think they're certainly capable.
00:59
I think it could happen here.
01:01
I also think in September, though, once they get ready for the playoffs, wins won't be
01:05
as important for them.
01:06
All right.
01:07
I think they win the division pretty easily.
01:08
They'll have the number one seed here.
01:10
It's all about October winning another World Series here.
01:12
So I'm going to sell this.
01:14
All right.
01:15
I have taken the over 103 and a half.
01:17
So I guess I'm banking that they'll win between 104 and 109 games this season for the Dodgers
01:23
here.
01:24
Winning 110 stuff.
01:25
You're winning every series, two of every three.
01:27
All right.
01:28
So I'm going to say I'll take the under here, under 110, sort of just saying I think I win
01:33
a ton of games, but not 110, 111.
01:36
No.
01:37
Yeah.
01:38
I'll take the over.
01:39
I would bet over if I had to on the Dodgers.
01:42
I don't play in the lower or higher markets ever.
01:45
I'm more of a middle market guy when it comes to this stuff.
01:49
But I think that I will go over here.
01:53
I'll go with like 111, 112 games.
01:55
I could see that easily in 50.
01:57
You know, the only problem is what happens in September.
02:00
But I think the difference this year is that, look, you could have Otani at the end of the
02:04
season.
02:05
You could have Kershaw at the end of the season.
02:07
And usually you get them at the beginning of the season.
02:09
So I think their late season surge could be legit.
02:12
And I will buy.
02:13
I will buy this for the Dodgers this season, winning 110 games or more.
02:17
All right.
02:18
Now, in the National League West, we certainly have a minimum of three teams that are going
02:22
to fight it out to make the postseason.
02:24
We have the Dodgers, who would seem to be a postseason lock.
02:26
You have the Diamondbacks.
02:27
You have the Padres.
02:29
And maybe you feel the Giants could potentially make the postseason too.
02:32
Rockies are not going to make it.
02:33
George, buy or sell, three National League West teams will make the postseason this year.
02:40
Breaking news from Craig Nish.
02:41
Rockies not making the playoffs.
02:42
Oh, yeah.
02:43
The Rockies might lose 110-plus.
02:44
They're certainly not making the playoffs there.
02:45
All right.
02:46
Let's just count the National League Central.
02:52
I think the only team to make the playoffs there is whoever wins that division, Cubs,
02:56
Reds, whoever it might be there.
02:57
All right.
02:58
So we got three wildcard teams, Braves, Phillies, Mets.
03:02
All right.
03:03
I think they'll be in contention, want to win with division.
03:07
Then you go to the West here and you go, I don't think the Giants make it either, by
03:12
the way.
03:14
Dodgers win with division, Diamondbacks, and the Padres.
03:18
So Diamondbacks, Padres, let's give the division to the Phillies, Mets, Braves.
03:24
One doesn't make it.
03:25
All right.
03:26
I'm going to buy this.
03:27
I'm going to buy it.
03:28
I'm in on Arizona.
03:29
I think they're one of the teams.
03:30
San Diego, I like San Diego.
03:31
I do worry if they'll make additions during the season with the ownership issues here
03:37
that they need to make.
03:38
I also wonder if they'll trade Dylan Cease.
03:40
I wonder if they'll trade Michael King.
03:41
I said earlier, Michael King, free agent.
03:43
They may not want to pay him what his going rate's going to be, and they may not want
03:46
to lose him for nothing, especially since they acquired him in the Juan Soto trade,
03:49
one of the players from the Yankees there.
03:51
So I'm going to buy this, though.
03:53
All right.
03:54
I'll say that I guess even the Braves, because they don't have a corner, they don't have
03:57
Strider to start the season.
03:59
Maybe Sales, not the sale he was from last year.
04:03
I think we heard of Renaldo Lopez.
04:04
His velocity is down as well.
04:05
So maybe he has an injury there that we don't know about.
04:07
This is what we heard.
04:08
I don't know for sure.
04:09
All right.
04:11
I don't want anybody to go bananas on that.
04:12
So I'm going to buy.
04:13
I'm going to say yes, three teams won't make it from the National League West.
