00:22She pointed to the latest controversy linked to former Prime Minister Ismail Sabih Yacoub,

00:27which she said would likely cause UMNO supporters to turn their back on the party.

00:40On March 2, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission set RM170 million in cash and 16

00:47kg of gold bars, which ceased an investigation into four senior officers linked to Ismail.

00:55Global analyst James Chin said the latest allegations are unsurprising given UMNO's

01:00deep-rooted history with money politics, which he believes will be nearly impossible to eliminate

01:06despite any attempts by the party.

01:09He said the party that truly represents the Malay voters today is pass, while UMNO's brand

01:15of nationalism is simply not appealing anymore.
