00:00those two world titles so excited to see her on the face and she came in she's

00:04just having a good time she's loose she's relaxed she doesn't have the

00:07pressure of the cut on her at which could be a huge benefit on a day like

00:11today exactly I competed with Nadine those ten years ago and she was always

00:16the one that we were comparing ourselves to and like you said she is has such a

00:21strong mental game always chill always relaxed but incredible athletic

00:27performances skiing climbing mountaineering as a guide she is a woman

00:32who can do it all yeah I was really fun to come into town and see that indeed

00:36it's a wild card she's like such a solid mountain person and that's what I

00:40respect a lot about her it's more than just hitting jumps and skiing power like

00:44she's got the whole package yes exactly and she is at home Austrian flags on her

00:50shoulder Nadine Volner getting ready to go she said two-time freeride world

00:55champion back to back to which is such a difficult thing to do given the

00:59strength of the field here in ski women and Nadine Volner now testing

01:03herself against the next generation as she kicks out of the start gate on to

01:07the Viltiloter I think everyone should hold on I imagine this will be a quick

01:12run from Nadine and you can see just such strong technique just cruising

01:18through that crest not wasting any time getting into the meat of the face here

01:22yeah there may be an aspect on this crusty section up top where a few more

01:27tracks actually make it a little bit more skiable you can see Nadine she is

01:30getting bounced around those inverted tracks they're stepped up a little bit

01:34as now she gets into this bushy section and starting to really kind of turn on

01:38the gas into the same section we saw Britta Winans go into taking a slightly

01:43different angle landing clean so good start here for Nadine Volner really nice

01:48skiing from Nadine making her way again you can't see on this screen but below

01:52them is that huge cliff band so it's full commitment from here on out yeah

01:58and I'd imagine we're gonna see a lot of hits off of this one today but she's

02:01gonna line up a different exit here Oh Nadine Volner over a big chunk of

02:09terrain releasing into the fall line full send and she stomps it

02:13Oh Nadine Volner proving exactly why they used to call her the machine when

02:18she was on the Freeride World Tour that was enormous and she is still going

02:23Nadine now coming into the lower section of the Vilti loader got to be feeling

02:27confident after that stomp that was absolutely massive pretty much the

02:31biggest way that you could take that cliff band that was absolutely insane

02:36I'm so impressed right now now this section is tricky there are a bunch of

02:42old tracks on the lower part of this face from from some poachers that were

02:46able to manage to sneak their way onto the Vilti loader Nadine just trying to

02:50make her way down you can see this is we heard from Max Hitzig the most variable

02:55part of the face some of it's soft some of it's hard there's bumps there's all

02:58kinds of stuff but Nadine Volner now looking like she's relatively safe I

03:02never like to say it until they're through that finish arch but she is

03:05closing in she just has to hold the fall line and get through the finish a

03:09massive run there from Nadine really impressive you can hear the Austrian

03:14crowd around us excited for their woman that was one of the biggest cliffs I've

03:21seen a lady hit in the comps for a very long time that was proper big mountain

03:25skiing that was really cool to watch I think Nadine the whole competition up

03:29until here had a super positive attitude we're gonna go back up look at this

03:33replay perfect landing there really committed to the fall line strong

03:37technique and she came pretty slow off this one I was a little concerned but

03:40good perfect pop and Wow pretty darn clean landing there that was absolutely

03:47impressive that was huge yeah you can see the judges bars just maxed line

03:51score huge all of it that was incredible all of us a little bit speechless here

03:58in the commentating booth I have full goosebumps right that was insane well

04:03there you can see the Austrian crowd gathering on this perfect gorgeous

04:08spring conditions day Nadine Volner now she's just looking back up and the

04:12judges have spoken quickly as that score goes 87.33 incredible score there for

04:20Nadine Volner she would love nothing more than to watch
