00:09Europe is a world leader in work-life balance.

00:12A study by Global HR Platform Remote on the world's best places for employee well-being

00:18placed seven European countries in the top ten.

00:22Ireland emerged as the country with the best work-life balance in Europe,

00:27climbing up 23 positions from last year's ranking thanks to its new sick pay policies.

00:33As well as one of Europe's highest minimum wages, 13.44 euros per hour,

00:40Iceland is second thanks to its long annual leave, 38 days, a 100% sick pay rate,

00:48as well as a very high happiness index and a 93% LGBT inclusivity rate.

00:55The overall score sees Iceland followed by Denmark, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Germany,

01:02Luxembourg and Slovenia. Spain is the only Southern European country in the top ten

01:09thanks to its generous annual leave policy, 36 days, and its great maternity leave wage,

01:16100% of the salary, honourable mention for the Netherlands, which just narrowly didn't

01:22make it to the top ten but offers the shortest working week on average around 32 hours.
