00:00The target of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:03is to make the Philippines more business-friendly.

00:08This is stated in the visa of the Constitution that declares

00:12in May as the Ease of Doing Business Month.

00:15Under Proclamation No. 818 of President Marcos,

00:20he ordered the Anti-Red Tape Authority or ARTA

00:24to lead the annual celebration

00:26where the launch of programs is expected to support

00:31the President's desire to lead the business sector.

00:35All government agencies, including the GOCCs and LGUs,

00:40are also ordered to assist ARTA

00:43while the government urges private sector

00:46and non-government organizations to support the initiative.

00:51According to the Palacio,

00:52its goal is to strengthen the freedom of the public

00:55in improving the regulatory environment,

00:59reducing red tape, and accelerating economic development.
