Trump says he's considering returning 20% of DOGE savings to Americans  US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, February 19, said his administration is considering returning 20% of savings identified by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency initiative to Americans.  Speaking at a meeting of global financiers and tech executives hosted by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund in Miami, Trump said he is also considering using another 20% of the savings to pay down the federal government's debt. 00:35Now, he's got his faults also, I will tell you

00:37But not too many of them, which is now really

00:41waging war on government waste, fraud, and abuse.

00:43And they're curbing inflation and saving

00:46taxpayers billions and billions of dollars every

00:49single day.

00:50And there's even, under consideration, a new

00:53concept where we give 20 percent of the doge savings

00:57to American citizens and 20 percent goes to paying

01:00down debt.

01:01Because the numbers are incredible, Elon.

01:03So many billions of dollars.

01:05Billions.

01:05Hundreds of billions.

01:06And we're thinking about giving 20 percent back to

01:09the American citizens and 20 percent down to pay

01:13back debt and pay down debt, which is positive

01:16news.
