00:16which will be held at the Grand Palais from 11 to 13 April.

00:20The French Minister of Culture, Lachida Dati, announced this at a press conference.

00:25She stressed that France and Morocco maintain strong, consolidated relations

00:31through the Strengthened Exception Partnership,

00:34which was sealed on the occasion of President Emmanuel Macron's last state visit to Morocco

00:40at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

00:43After recalling that France and Morocco share Francophony,

00:47Lachida Dati noted that culture occupies a special place in this partnership,

00:54highlighting the richness and diversity of Moroccan literary production.

01:03The book Toujours is directed at the capital of the kingdom,

01:07where the presentation of the book Rabat,

01:10a cultural heritage and an anchored memory of the author Saïd Rgheghi, took place.

01:16This book highlights the cultural, linguistic and civilizational heritage of the city of Rabat

01:22by documenting, through texts and rare photos,

01:25the most striking historical and architectural monuments of Medina.

01:29The book, as a result of the author's personal experience

01:33and field research carried out for many years,

01:37highlights the details of the arches, doors and engravings

01:41that reflect the importance of the Andalusian affluent in the city's architecture.

01:52I tried to point out all the places that are engraved

01:56in the ancient, deep ties inside the walls.

02:01In this book, I tried to gather all the possible information

02:05relating to the Medina of Rabat.

02:07The testimonies were related to the daily expressions

02:11typical of the city, which did not exist anywhere else.

02:15It is also an issue in the book of traditions and customs of the city of Rabat,

02:20especially since some of them are on the verge of extinction.

02:25Without falling into redundancies, I tried to address this heritage of the city of Rabat

02:30by relying on the testimonies of large families of the Medina of Rabat,

02:35the vast majority of which are of Andalusian origin.

02:39Rabat Toujours is this photographic exhibition at the Servantes Institute

02:44entitled Andalusian Architecture, a meeting point between the West and the Islamic East

02:50and which continues until April 6.

02:53This project was born from the collaboration between the Spanish Embassy in Morocco,

02:57the Servantes Institute and the Legado Andalus Foundation,

03:01inviting the public to explore Andalusian architecture,

03:04a heritage of inestimable richness.

03:07Art and architecture come together to offer a space for reflection

03:11on Andalusian architecture and the deep links between the two banks of the Mediterranean.

03:15The images exhibited during this event show the construction of citadels,

03:20castles, walls, towers, palaces, minarets, baths, cisterns

03:25and water reservoirs, which are now an integral part of the landscape of the two cities of Rabat.
