Two Sydney nurses suspended after video surfaces of them bragging about killing Israeli patients

Two Sydney nurses caught on video bragging about killing Israeli patients have had their registrations suspended, effectively banning them from practising across Australia. Police are seeking an unedited copy of the video and a statement from the Israeli man who recorded it. Meanwhile, health workers say some colleagues have faced verbal abuse from the public in response to the incident.

00:08It's a trust that's been breached by two of their own, and nurses are devastated.

00:13And the members were saying overnight, they have copped abuse from the public.

00:18They have felt the anger from the public.

00:21Please, public, this is not us.

00:24This is not who we are as a profession.

00:26In the video, nurses Ahmed Rashad-Nader and Sarah Abu-Labdeh discuss their treatment of

00:32Israeli patients.

00:33I won't treat them.

00:34I'll kill them.

00:35They're anti-Semitism.

00:36They're there for all to see, without any shame.

00:42Today the New South Wales Health Minister visited Bankstown Hospital to meet their colleagues.

00:47Nurses were visibly upset.

00:48I spoke to one staff member who'd been there for around 20 years.

00:53She broke down.

00:54She said to me that she hasn't been able to stop thinking about it.

00:57It's fair to say that the staff at this time are ashamed, apologetic and emotional about

01:04what's transpired.

01:07The government says so far no harm to patients has been uncovered.

01:11It's now in the hands of the Healthcare Complaints Commission.
