00:00Hi guys, we're finally back at IPL 2021 straight back with Golf News and Mr Cricket UAE is

00:16And what a thriller we had to start with this Mumbai to Chennai.

00:21Let me quickly first of all go to Sham and give us a quick rundown of what happened today.

00:26And then we'll speak to our special guests Arjan and Sai, who are a little bit of rivals

00:33and a little bit of age between them as well.

00:35So we'll speak to Sham first.

00:37Yeah, it was a cracker of the match and to start with, there were some surprises because

00:43we expected Rohit Sharma to show up, but apparently he's having a hamstring niggle.

00:47So Poland led the side and what a start they had, but that is totally not unexpected because

00:53we have seen 10 balls, the damage he can do in UAE and Adam Milne, who is coming off

00:58a very good season with the 100 in UK, I mean, they've pretty much lived up to it.

01:04And they had reduced the Chennai Super Kings to 24 for 4.

01:09And what a knock Ruturaj Gaikwad produced.

01:12And to me, I think the difference was the Bravo's 8 ball, 23.

01:16That I think took the game away from the Mumbai Indians.

01:19Mumbai were still in the game.

01:22In fact, they got off to a fire actually, but the thing is, they couldn't string together

01:25a decent partnership and that was their undoing.

01:29Okay.

01:30And now obviously, Anas Pai, Mr. Cricket UAE himself will be here joining us tomorrow evening,

01:41First of all, Arjan, that was a tremendous game, but unfortunately for the Mumbai fans,

01:51But for you, you must have been delighted in the end, having been very, very worried

01:58I was so worried because when I saw the score and it was 18 for 4, I'm like, we've lost.

02:07There's no way we can come back from this bad a position.

02:13And then two hours later, the score is 156.

02:22He was jumping with joy in the stadium.

02:26I mean, every single boundary, I went crazy.

02:33You could not imagine how happy I was when from 18 for 4 in, let's say, 5 overs to 156

02:45in 20 overs.

02:47It just blew my mind.

02:48I could not believe it that Ruturaj Gaikwad and players like him just carried on the match

02:57and you know, won it for CSK.

02:59If it weren't for Ruturaj Gaikwad, I'm sure CSK would have suffered a big defeat today.

03:07So now from Arjan to our MS Dhoni of the crew.

03:11Sai, you're a Mumbai fan and that must have been a bit of a sucker punch after your start.

03:18I think it's true because, you know, Mumbai Indians always start on a losing tone.

03:22So this is, you know, they keep the tradition alive.

03:24So they start on a losing trip.

03:27So it's not a difficult thing for me.

03:30But one thing which I totally agree, I think, like Shyam said, I think Bravo took the match

03:34away from Chennai.

03:35Definitely, Gaikwad played well, but the 23 run of 8 balls, yes, that was the decider.

03:42Because that did, you know, it was difficult for the Mumbai Indians to catch up.

03:48The defeat also was almost around 22-23 runs.

03:52So I think it was Bravo's innings that actually took the game away from the Mumbai Indians.

03:57Unfortunate that Rohit was not, the hitman was not there or else this would have been

04:01a sweet victory for him.

04:03So we all expected the hitman to be there.

04:07Shyam, now one of the talks that we saw earlier in our live tweet when we saw some great pictures

04:17of Arjan and he was eating burgers and screaming all those boundaries was the state of the

04:25crease.

04:26A lot of people were saying that it was a little bit like the outfield.

04:31Now, is that something that you guys or did it just need to settle in after a few overs?

04:38You mean, I didn't quite get your question.

04:40The crease.

04:43People were saying that it wasn't as, you know, it wasn't as flat as it should be.

04:51And they were saying it was quite like the outfield in some places.

04:55So, no, not really.

04:56I mean, the thing is, what you have to factor in here is this is a fresh wicket and there's

05:04not been much match played of late.

05:07So the outfield was pretty nice and actually the wicket had a decent carry over.

05:13But as you saw, the seamers had an initial purchase, which is always the case with the

05:19UAE wickets.

05:20That's what we saw.

05:21And they can really, really let the ball fly.

05:26And that's what we saw.

05:28And we needed a little bit of a cool head, which is what Rudra's record showed that once

05:36you ride out the top, you could play your shots.

05:39OK.

05:40And now, OK, Sai, we'll go to you first.

05:44That blistering start by Mumbai.

05:50You know, I mean, we saw them fall, fall and fall.

05:53What was it like for you?

05:56And how was it as you were riding those emotions and thinking, this is in the bag, where we've

06:03got the points now?

06:05I think, yeah, I mean, here, actually, I think the humid conditions also worked well for

06:12us.

06:13I mean, you can see the way the ball was bouncing.

06:16And the first two wickets was amazing.

06:19I mean, I think Tenfold did a fantastic job there.

06:22And with Bumrah pitching in here and there, I expected a little more of Bumrah magic in

06:26But unfortunately, we couldn't get Gaikwad out.

06:28And to be honest, also another factor that Gaikwad let go of an easy catch to his hands

06:35in the middle of the Mumbai innings.

06:36Actually, I thought that was the match for us.

06:38But unfortunately, that was not the way.

06:40You know, we were expecting a little more.

06:42I wanted Sky, Surik Kumar Yadav, nicknamed Sky, to do well.

06:46But he failed us, actually.

06:50And he and Ishan.

06:51I mean, both were prodigies for Mumbai Indians.

06:53And now, I mean, they are actually in the Team India World Cup.

06:56So we expected them to perform.

06:58So I think it was a dampener of sorts of these two young stars, prodigies, not doing their

07:04best for the team.

07:05And Arjun, you must have enjoyed the fact that you guys were chatting online, live for

07:13How did it feel when you got the upper hand of, let's say, your older uncle from Mumbai

07:24here?

07:25The delight as you guys got over the line must have been amazing.

07:30And what does it mean to get these points go top of the table going towards the end

07:35of the tournament?

07:37So, first of all, I would like to emphasize that it was burning hot out there.

07:44I was sweating.

07:45And I'm trying to think what the players would feel, right?

07:50I mean, if I was sweating, sitting on my seat, the players are standing and running and yielding.

07:59And what I think it means for CSK, I think it means a big thing.

08:03We were back on top last year.

08:05As you see, we didn't exactly go that well in the UAE.

08:09But I'm happy that we won our first game in the UAE, especially against Mumbai.

08:15And by such a big margin too.

08:18And now, I'll ask you all very quickly as we just wrap up, I'll start with Sai and come

08:24to Arjun and then to Shyam, who's going to win this year now that we've seen the first

08:29game?

08:30That's a wrong question to ask the Mumbai fans.

08:32It's going to be the Mumbai Falcons for sure.

08:37So, you're going to bench-pack?

08:40Yes.

08:45First of all, Mumbai has to qualify first.

08:49Maybe they won't even qualify.

08:57And I think CSK have a very big chance since they're top of the table.

09:04But Delhi, which I'm from Delhi, so it's fine either way.

09:11Of course, I'm a die-hard CSK fan.

09:14But I really want to see CSK win.

09:19So, CSK all the way, yeah?

09:22Okay.

09:23And Shyam?

09:25In fact, I have been backing Mumbai to win, although my heart belongs to Bangalore.

09:31I mean, on sheer performance, I would have expected Mumbai to win.

09:37Because the sheer quality of the side, the depth of talent there is amazing.

09:41So, I would expect them to win.

09:44But after seeing this match, I have slight thoughts about whether they can really pull

09:49themselves back.

09:51Because in India, they didn't do too well.

09:54I mean, better than others, but just enough to be in the fourth place.

09:58But unless they up their game, I think, I mean, Arjun might be right here in saying

10:03that Mumbai might be in trouble if they don't qualify.

10:07But if they qualify, then they'll be a different kettle of fish.

10:10Because they know how to win the big game.

10:15They're going for the hat-trick now.

10:18So, they know how to get over the line.

10:20Whereas RCB are yet to get over the line in 13 attempts.

10:25So, I mean, obviously, we've only seen two of the teams so far.

10:32There's loads more to come.
