00:32Who's better at cooking, women or men?

00:34I grew up eating my mother's cooking.

00:36I associated it with, cooking in general, and good food,

00:41I associated it with cooking in a calm, therapeutic, very passionate cooking.

00:46Because that's what I saw growing up.

00:48My role model was my mother.

00:50Let's talk about why the taste and behavior of Filipinos is weird when it comes to food.

00:59For example, my cousin has a boyfriend from Australia,

01:03and he was looking for something sweet.

01:05He saw someone putting ice cream in the freezer.

01:08He said to Tom,

01:09Marisol, how come your ice cream, I think it went bad,

01:15because it's a bit sour, and it's black.

01:19Then I took a good look,

01:22Tom, you're eating a boiled egg.

01:24My mom hid the boiled egg in an ice cream container.

01:28Rice and coffee.

01:29I haven't tried it yet.

01:30It's delicious!

01:32But there's also oil and soy sauce.

01:34It's like adobo to me.

01:35I remember the time when there was no such thing.

01:40Touching on that,

01:41if I were to call it weird,

01:43because for me, as a person who loves to cook,

01:47I see things in a technical aspect.

01:50For example, milk with rice.

01:53For other people, it's weird.

01:54But I see it as dairy plus carbs, starch.

01:58They technically work or match.

02:01There are also a lot of things that are wrapped in food.

02:04They say, don't play with food,

02:06because it will explode.

02:07You see the lumpia, it's like this.

02:11What does it mean when you play with it?
