Public inquiry into the future of the crooked house has been postponed following a legal

challenge by the pub's owners. The Himley landmark was destroyed in a suspected arson

attack in August last year and later demolished, prompting widespread anger. South Staffordshire

Council had ordered the owners, ATE Farms Ltd, to rebuild the pub within three years,

but an appeal to the High Court has now forced the authority to delay proceedings. The inquiry,

originally scheduled for March, will only go ahead once any potential criminal proceedings

have concluded. The council says it has exhausted all options to continue with the inquiry as
