00:05The pga tour made the decision a few weeks ago to move the genesis

00:09Invitational from its normal home in la at riviera country club down a little bit in southern california back to san diego and a familiar spot

00:28How does that familiarity factor into this week of the genesis invitation

00:33Well, you know what this decision makes tons of sense, especially for the pga tour

00:37The village was already set up, you know

00:38The traveling circus that is the tour was already set up for them three weeks ago at the farmers and that event itself

00:45You know the south course we've hosted two u.s. Opens here. This is worthy of a signature event

00:50They just couldn't take this event anywhere. It's a 20 million dollar purse. So the guys come back here

00:54It is a place that they like it was the place that for years tiger woods used to start his season

00:58The farmers is is absolutely an elite event and then now to come back down here

01:06I spoke to a number of tournament officials and they're going to keep the golf course the setup the same way that they do for

01:12The farmers because the south course is that good?

01:14It's the longest course on the pga tour par 72 over 7,700 yards and you know, I talked to one guy

01:21He said he said they cut the rough at three and a half inches on monday, and they're not going to touch it again now

01:26Maybe that number doesn't mean much to the audience

01:28But that is long and with all the rain that we're getting right now currently and into tomorrow and into friday morning

01:34It will be wet thick. It'll be nasty

01:36This is completely a u.s. Open setup. And if you go to vegas the over under on this week guys, it's minus eight and a half
