00:00is the Shriners Children's Open and yes it is in Las Vegas and that's coming in

00:07at TPC Summerlin the purse seven million dollars a par 71 7200 yard golf course

00:13before we get into the players Keith as always it's in Vegas we'll get a little

00:16bit of good weather out there how's this golf course shaping up for this

00:19weekend's action well Donny guess what over the last five years the average

00:25winning score has been 23 under par so the beginning of the week you know

00:28people ask me all the time they say hey Keith what's your process like picking

00:32winners and everything well one of the places I always look is at golf odds

00:35calm and I check in Vegas and I say well what's the over-under for the winning

00:39score this week it should be somewhere around 2021 well it was 15 and a half so

00:44I said whoa check that at the door because now I'm like there's got to be a

00:48weather issue there's got to be something going on and in fact there is

00:51it looks like for rounds one and round two the wind is gonna blow over 20 miles

00:55an hour and that's gonna take us back to a year like 2017 where Patrick

01:00Cantley wanted a playoff at nine under par these guys are gonna get tested this

01:04week on a par 71 golf course out there in the barren lands of the desert of Las

01:09Vegas with some serious wind keep taking a look at the field and the odds board

01:15it's Tom Kim is the shortest price at plus 1200 in search of a third

01:19consecutive win here at the Shriners what would have to go in favor for Tom

01:24Kim to get the hat trick well something special there's no doubt about that

01:28dubsy I mean he would be only the third guy not named Tiger Woods that would

01:33have done this in this century Steve Stricker did it the John Deere and of

01:37course Stuart Appleby did it at the Century Tournament of Champions just

01:41around you know 2004 five and six so Tiger of course he's done it six times

01:46in fact two of those he did it four years in a row but I mean he's the goat

01:50we'll move on but the John Deere the Century Tournament of Champions Vegas

01:54the Shriners this is the type of event he could do it at but I have tremendous

01:59pause when it comes to Tom Kim this week I know he loves this place but the last

02:03time we saw him in a stroke play event he ejected from the tournament at the

02:06FedEx st. Jude finishing bogey double-double and outside the top 50

02:10didn't make the BMW then I know he was the emotional leader up in Canada but I

02:14was in Montreal and he didn't play very good he only had one and a half points

02:18for the international side so something's really gonna have to take a

02:21turn and you know a lot of these guys have been playing for now two three

02:25straight weeks and they're really in fine form some of these other favorites

02:29really catch my eye over Tom going for the three-peat let's take a look too

02:34because Tom Kim is a 12 to 1 favorite in this one and then there's that shelf you

02:37start to hit 22 to 130 to 1 looking down the leaderboard here Keith what are we

02:42giving up some options for some of these long shots well these favorites you know

02:47Taylor Pendereth last time he played was the President's Cup but he came off

02:50four straight top 25s at the end of the season Oh Bo Hosler has been hot Davis

02:56Thompson we haven't seen him since the BMW this might be a warm-up event and

02:59then of course Seamus Power Vegas resident 10th at the st. Jude 11th at

03:04the Sanderson 11th last week at the Black Desert Championship hey my early

03:08leans Donnie for you on the early line first one Bo Hosler right at plus 3,000

03:13that numbers getting bet down it continues to get bet down in six career

03:17starts here he's on average he's gained five strokes total against the field so

03:22he loves this golf course and he plays very well in the fall you know for me

03:26he's the type of guy that could score a ton of birdies and he's been playing

03:29very well runner-up at the Sanderson 11th last week in the Black Desert my

03:33second early lean Harris English one of the most talented guys in the field

03:38he's got four wins I mean how many guys in this field have four wins maybe

03:41Daniel Berger maybe somebody they're rolling out of a casket late like Mike

03:44Weir but the fact of the matter is is that at plus 4,500 the way he played last

03:49finishing sixth Harris English looks super super smooth and we know he's

03:54talented he's 54th on the FedExCup points list and the guys to get between

03:5751 and 60 getting those signature events a win this week would go a long way to

04:02the rest of the fall off and then he's out there for those signature purses

04:06come the springtime for me English I just love the fit the way he rolls the

04:10rock and the way he was playing last week in the desert.
