00:00When Senator Francis Tolentino says there are far more pressing problems of the country to focus on

00:06than impeaching the daughter of her former boss,

00:09it is a preview of how he is likely to vote on the impeachment complaint when judgment time is up.

00:16An identical or similar sentiment, at least six to ten senators share if, and that's a big if,

01:08as he explained that unlike any other Senate committee investigation, it is not their job

01:14to issue subpoenas to gather evidence, as this is the job for the prosecution and the defense.

01:23Senate Majority Leader Francis Torrentino meanwhile finds the impeachment as distraction

01:39in light of various problems that have beset the country.

01:53However, he sees the point of some legal opinions saying the current Congress which started the

02:14impeachment shall also conclude the proceedings and pass the final judgment on the complaint.

02:23Congress should likewise finish it. Although there is another school of thought,

02:27that the Congress is a continuing body, they can continue to decide.
