00:00I'm actually from Pampanga, but the place where I actually live is Santo Tomas and within

00:11that area we have Minalin, San Vicente, San Machas, all of these places are actually underwater

00:18right now.

00:19They were given information that a couple of people actually died in our town.

00:25The Pampanga tail dike was actually damaged so around about 7 to 10 feet of water actually

00:31came.

00:32It was, we call it a flash flood back home.

00:35Our house is actually underwater and because it was very unfortunate that there was no

00:41warning so everything is damaged, appliances, even clothes, everything is underwater so

00:49we didn't manage to save anything, but luckily my family is safe.

00:54I mean everything that was damaged you can replace it, but losing a loved one, you can

00:58never replace a loved one, you can never replace a person, an individual's life.

01:02So if they were here, of course I would hug them and tell them I love them.

01:05All of them were safe, but except for the house, it has to be renovated again, but then

01:11it's okay.

01:12At least the family is safe.

01:13Because we live in the center part of Metro Manila and the habagat victims were mostly

01:19in Metro Manila basically.

01:22We heard about the news.

01:23Our group initiated and initiated the collection of all the relief goods for the Filipino people

01:33in the Philippines.

01:34When you see the people back home, the news that are affected by the floods, it's in you.

01:42You have to help them.

01:44Lots of trees have been cut and that's why it's flooding I guess.

01:50The flooded habagat of the Philippines is really devastating and I feel like, I mean,

01:55this is one way of sharing the blessing that I received.

01:58So I volunteered to donate some goods and pack for our co-Filipinos.

02:06We all pulled together things from around our household that can help, such as blankets.

02:15Myself, I brought blankets and beddings and canned goods.

02:22Every time there is some need for help, we always come together via Facebook, phone,

02:31internet and then we decide just to start collecting relief goods.

02:36People from the office just gathered some goods and some pledges.

02:40We will donate some canned goods, some toothbrushes and toothpicks and blankets to help the flood

02:46victims in the Philippines.

02:48I invite most of the lifeguards working in Atlantis, Apo Venture, and then ask them for

02:55small donations, clothing, food or whatever they can give.

03:02We have collected some old clothes, food and some toys for the children and linens.

03:10We have chosen one Christian church, they call it the Joy's Church Group and they are

03:16based in Bulacan so they are going to collect this and send it to the Philippines.

03:22As of now, we have already collected and we have already filled up seven boxes.

03:26Actually, LBC is helping us.

03:29They are going to send the box free directly to the Philippine Red Cross.

03:35I hope more volunteers will come and this will be not only now, it will be an ongoing project.

03:43One of the best ways to help the Philippines is to donate to the Philippine Red Cross.

03:49The Philippine Red Cross has been there in all calamities and they need all the help

03:55that they can get.

03:56Well, it feels nice to help others and to share your blessings with others, especially

04:00the needy ones.

04:01Please keep on helping.

04:03This is every time something like this will come so tap into your hearts, just help a little.
