Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) blasts water cannons on PH ships again
The Chinese Coast Guard blasts water cannons at Philippine vessels and rams one of them near the Second Thomas Shoal in the South China Sea. The incident damaged one of the ships and endangered the lives Filipino crew members. The Philippines and the United States condemned the act, describing it as a coercion during a routine resupply mission to Ayungin Shoal by the Philippine vessels.
