00:00The Department of Agriculture has approved the lifting of the 4,000-metric ton of onions

00:09to Secretary Francisco Chula Ruel, Jr. of the Agriculture Department.

00:15Far from the so-called ban, the possible increase in the price of onions

00:21that happened in 2022 reached more than Php 700 per kilo.

00:27The 4,000-metric ton of onions that will be lifted

00:32will be lower than the 7,000-metric ton that is still missing.

00:38But there is nothing to be worried about because it is expected to arrive in the country

00:42before the import of onions ends in February,

00:47while in the last part of March until April,

00:50the import of local onions will be completed.

00:55What we did is very tactical.

00:57Limited volume, limited quantity, limited time.

01:01So it should address any spikes.

01:05It's not even enough to fill in the perceived gap or estimated gap.

01:13So there's nothing, you shouldn't worry.

01:16And it's hard that I have nothing to do.
