00:00Former Bersatu leader Mahathir Raius said Malaysia's efforts to help rebuild Gaza

00:18through corporate donations, international contributions, and wakaf, or Islamic endowments.

00:25Mahathir also addressed concerns that Malaysia's aid for Gaza could divert resources from domestic

00:31priorities, saying that national development funds would remain untouched.

00:37Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim recently announced Malaysia's plan to assist Gaza by constructing

00:43a school, hospital, and mosque in collaboration with the Japanese government.

00:49However, critics, including former Federal Minister Rafidah Aziz and Julaw MP Larry Sung,

00:56had urged Putrajaya to prioritize domestic issues.

01:01Mahathir dismissed these concerns, saying the government remained committed to national development.
