00:07Lisi alongside Jaden Higgins, thousand-yard wide receiver for Iowa

00:11State. Jaden, talk to me about the experience here on Radio Row and more

00:15importantly the game on Sunday. Yeah it's been awesome you know being here

00:19talking to all you guys and just really just getting the experience man it's

00:22been cool you know going from place to place you know meeting with different

00:25companies and brands and man it's just been a great experience and then the

00:28game on Sunday man it's gonna be a great game I feel like. Great wide receivers

00:32in the game. You talk about both sides you have some aging veterans and

00:36Marquise Brown and and DeAndre Hopkins and Travis Kelsey for Kansas City, AJ

00:41Brown, Devontae Smith. Is there one wide receiver in the game that you really

00:44admire in terms of what they've done on the next level? Yeah um you know of

00:50course I would say AJ Brown just his physicality you know the way he plays

00:53kind of that dog mentality he has you know every single week he goes out there

00:57and just attacks the game so I definitely appreciate the way he plays.

00:59Have a prediction for the game? No I can't give a prediction you know I just

01:05want to see a really good game at the end of the day. All right let's talk about

01:07your career at Iowa State. Dynamic performance last year a thousand yards

01:12you had a great offensive scheme with Matt Campbell, over exceed expectations

01:16yet again you talk about the performance getting to the Big 12 championship

01:20written off maybe a couple of years ago you're coming off a bowl loss to

01:24Memphis right in the Liberty Bowl and then last year that performance talk to

01:29me about just Matt Campbell as a whole in the program of playing for Iowa State.

01:33Yeah you know I think you know even that Memphis game we took that game as fuel

01:37to come into the next season and you know just do what we did this year

01:40obviously had a great season you know 11 wins something the program never did in

01:44history so I mean it was an awesome season coach Campbell he's a great guy

01:47the world-class guy world-class program builder you know everything is a

01:52brotherhood at Iowa State and you know it was an awesome program for me. And you

01:56talk about the pedigree the lineage right a lot of people forget Alan Lazard

02:00was at Iowa State with Baker Mayfield right they knock off Oklahoma and then

02:04now Xavier Hutchinson playing with CJ Stroud. Yes sir. Where do you feel you

02:10could be in terms of the great wide receivers moving on to the next level is

02:13there a player that you emulate on the next level in terms of the type of wide

02:19receiver you can be? Yeah um you know just just talking about the Iowa State

02:23guys I feel like I was a mix of all those guys you know of course you know

02:27being in that system being the ex-receiver that they they played you

02:30know just trying to bring the best abilities that they had and bring it to

02:33my game but ultimately you know I feel like I'm consistent and what I do I'm

02:37reliable out there I have a great work ethic at the end of the day and

02:41you know I'm just going to be reliable to the quarterback and catch the ball

02:43when he needs me to make plays. You had a number of great performances is there

02:46one game that stands out or one moment for you that stands out above the rest

02:51throughout your career? Yeah um you know honestly the moment I would say is just

02:55making it to that Big 12 championship unfortunately we lost but you know just

02:58just making it with that team you know the the ups and downs we had and people

03:02just doubting us man it was awesome. What do you feel when people say of the Big

03:0612 because I think the Big 12 to to be completely honest from top to bottom is

03:11as competitive as any conference of college football you get the additions

03:16now of Colorado and Utah that came in Arizona State first year in the

03:20conference and you know full well you played against them but it is from top

03:25to bottom very competitive what do you feel about some people that say it's

03:30it's not as on par like some of the big the Big Ten and obviously the SEC? Man I

03:35think they just need to watch the games on Saturday man it's every game you know

03:39Big 12 teams play it's exciting you know there's never going to be a huge blowout

03:43win or something like that because all those guys are competitive everyone is a

03:46great player great teams in general and you know it's a really competitive league

03:51you know one one year one team could be higher than another and one year the

03:54next team could drop down so every year everyone's just got to come and compete.

03:57Talk about your quarterback Rocco Beck right he gets thrown into the mix for

04:01the situation that transpired prior to the season with Decker's right he comes

04:05on he unbelievable hits the ground running right and then this year really

04:10matured as a quarterback and you had a great quarterback to wide receiver

04:14relationship with Rocco yeah where do you see Rocco moving on in regards to

04:19his career? Yeah I think Rocco is gonna continue to do great things I mean you

04:22see the way that guy came in this year just confidence he had you know he's a

04:25confidence player confident player in general you know the first year he

04:29started he allowed us to do great things on offense and you know I think Rocco

04:33just because we're gone he's gonna continue to do great things and those

04:35new guys that receiver are gonna come in and step up and make plays for him on

04:39both sides as well. I tell you Aims it's a hornet's nest I'm telling you that

04:42stadium when teams go in there whether whether it be prior to conference

04:46realignment they go in there they die yeah it's just you know the fans are

04:50incredible what's that experience walking out of the tunnel and just

04:55knowing that you have the home field behind you? Yeah I mean Jack Trice is

04:59amazing the atmosphere is crazy you know every week we go into the game we know

05:03that we're gonna have the fans on our side and that's a credit to them you

05:05know just coming out and and showing out and just being supportive to us no

05:08matter what the outcome is but yeah that stadium is ridiculous. Next steps

05:12for you you're moving on to the NFL Draft or a performance training is that

05:17the next step for you? Combine training right now. So it's just run 40s until you drop

05:22and catch as many balls out of the jugs right? Something like that. Unbelievable. I wish you
