00:00President Ferdinand Marquez Jr. led the 123rd anniversary celebration of Bureau of Customs or the BOC,

00:07recognizing employees for their leadership and dedication to the agency's goals.

00:13He emphasized the importance of earning public trust through honesty and sincerity in service,

00:19noting that public confidence leads to better compliance with tax regulations.

00:24Under the leadership of Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio,

00:27the BOC also set a record for anti-smuggling operations,

00:32confiscating P85 billion worth of smuggled goods through 2,116 successful seizures.

00:42Mr. President, your clear and expressed directives to curb smuggling have yielded significant results

00:51towards the protection of our borders and the Filipino people.

00:56Taking it into action, we successfully conducted 2,116 seizure operations,

01:04confiscating P85 billion worth of smuggled goods,

01:09a record-high anti-smuggling accomplishment in the history of the Bureau of Customs.
