00:00We continue in Venezuela as political parties are preparing for the parliamentary and state

00:04elections to be held on April 27th.

00:07This is the case of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, which together with its leadership,

00:11militants and supporters will define its candidates from the grassroots.

00:14Leonardo Urieta tells us more.

00:18The United Socialist Party of Venezuela installed its Congress to define the strategy with which

00:24the bases will elect their candidates for the elections.

00:27In conjunction with the people, the communes and the social movements.

00:36It is participatory democracy and the expectations are to build solidity, true democracy, not

00:41the democracy of the elites.

02:32Opposition parties that have disassociated themselves from the actions of the extreme

02:36right reiterated that they will comply with all the processes for their participation

02:40in the next elections.

02:44When the fourth phase of the 93 that have been published by the electoral power is in

02:49progress, today we can say that formally and officially, our political organization is

03:00participating in each one of the phases that are included in this electoral chronogram.

03:07277 deputies to the National Assembly will be elected in these elections.

03:12In addition to 24 governors, citizens over 18 years old are called to vote.
