00:00Vice President Sara Duterte has been impeached by the Camera.

00:04As one of the reasons, the woman was involved in a conspiracy to kill President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

01:05In a historic moment, the Camera formally impeached Vice President Sara Duterte.

01:12215 judges voted in favor of the impeachment, more than a third needed to pass the complaint.

01:20Six issues were the primary basis of the impeachment,

01:23including the conspiracy to kill President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.,

01:28First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Lumualdez,

01:32malversation of P612.5 million in confidential funds, and bribery and corruption in the DepEd.

01:39The complaint also mentioned the woman's unexplainable wealth and assets of the vice president,

01:45involvement in extrajudicial killings, and her involvement in the destabilization.

01:50In the plenary, the Congressmen who will serve as prosecutors in the impeachment trial,

01:56including Congressman Jerviel Luistro, Romeo Acop, Roge Gutierrez, Joel Chua, Jill Bongalon,

02:03Loreto Acharon, Marcelino Libanan, Arnan Panaligan, Isabel Maria Zamora, Lawrence Defensor, and Jonathan Keith Flores.

02:12Before the vice president is impeached,

02:14a prayer vigil was held earlier by groups who are pushing for Duterte to be impeached.

02:20They really feel that they can now use their hope.

02:25Our reckoning with Duterte has already started.

02:29Our reckoning with their abuses in the position, their abuses in the coffers of our country has already started.

02:37You know, we can feel it. We can feel it.

02:40Our gut feel is telling us that we got it. We got it.

02:45You know, when the pieces of evidence are presented to the members of the Senate,

02:49it will be hard for them not to convict the vice president.

02:54Even if Duterte is impeached, it doesn't mean that VP Sara will be removed from her position.

03:00The Senate will serve as impeachment trial court,

03:03and it will be decided if she is convicted or acquitted.

03:07For now, the Senate is still waiting for the complaint to be heard.

03:11If in the House, one-third of congressmen need impeachment,

03:16in the Senate, two-thirds of senators need to support the vice president to be removed from her position.
