00:00The government's campaign against tax fraud and a more aggressive implementation of the law on taxation is now in full swing.

00:08The result is good, according to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:18President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is convinced that the government's campaign against tax fraud and other violations in taxation is good.

00:27According to Punung Ekotibo, through a more aggressive campaign against tax fraud and other violations in taxation,

00:34the government's income has increased,

00:38just like the Run After Fake Transactions campaign,

00:41in which the go-sellers and buyers were charged with collecting P4.3 billion,

00:48which is more than P600 million in 2023.

00:52Meanwhile, on the other hand, P110 million was collected from the government's crackdown against the prohibition of smoking and vaping.

01:03The Run After Fake Transactions led to the filing of cases against go-sellers and buyers,

01:09and the collection of more than P4.3 billion,

01:13a significant jump from the more than P600 million collected in 2023.

01:20In addition, the Bureau of Internal Revenue, or BIR, became active in implementing the existing law on taxation.

01:29The Chief Executive of the BIR visited 307,000 establishments and became the subject of their verification,

01:37which resulted in P257 million worth of collection.

01:42The President said that the BIR's mandate is clear,

01:45to be vigilant and serve as a guardian of the system,

01:49where every P1 collected can be used in programs that will provide services to the people.

01:58To the BIR, your mandate is clear,

02:01be watchful, be guardians of a system that ensures that every P1 that is collected is channeled into programs that serve our people.

02:10In the 2025 National Tax Campaign Kick-off held by the President,

02:14for the first time in two decades,

02:18P3 trillion was collected by the BIR.

02:23According to the Chief Executive,

02:25the BIR's collected funds play a major role in implementing some important projects of the administration.
