Tool helps farmers cut carbon to access discount loans

The Towards Net Zero Agriculture Pathfinder will help farmers estimate baseline emissions.

00:00Our 2050 net zero target, which is to stay within one and a half degrees of global warming,

00:08is a science-backed policy.

00:12So it is a policy that has been designed by scientists to get all the key economies together

00:22to drive their emissions down so we can hit those targets.

00:26The agriculture sector is super important, super critical for Australia's economy, as

00:32well as a contributor to our low emission target.

00:37Farmers will be able to identify the relevant key activities, low emission technologies

00:45for their assets with the backing of CSIRO science.

00:50So it should give them confidence that this tool has been designed with scientific rigour.
