What return could've made this Luka trade worth it?

01:41So I'm going to boil it down to like some of the essential essentials.

01:45And I know there were other players in this, like Werder and Zach Collins and stuff, but

01:49essentially De'Aaron Fox is going to San Antonio.

01:57Now the bulls are in this mix and the bulls do get a first round pick back or they just

02:03get their own first round pick back in 2025.

02:06But to make this happen, the Sacramento Kings get Zach Levine, a 2025 first round pick,

02:16by the way, that's this year kids case you're curious.

02:20I know it is top 14 protected, but that's this year, a second round pick this year,

02:24a first round pick in 2027, a second round pick in 2028 and a second round pick in 2028.

02:31Now what I want to point out with that is that De'Aaron Fox is a darn good player.

02:42It took a minute for him to really become who he is.

02:44He is not in Lucas league.

02:47And let's point this out.

02:48Zach Levine might be having the best season of his career and in return for De'Aaron Fox,

02:55the Kings got Zach Levine and count it one, two, three, four, five draft picks, all of

03:02which they get before the Mavericks get their one pick.

03:07By the way, the Mavericks traded a pick too.

03:30I understand that the Mavericks had issues with Luca, but to make this trade and not

03:36shopping around to me, Mike, you just said it.

03:38I'm in total agreement with you.

03:40It's GM malpractice as one article said, and it's tough to argue against that.

03:46And I know there's going to be a whole, there's a whole lot more to this.

03:48I just feel like we're missing the one key piece that I just don't understand that nobody

03:52can seem to tell me because I talked to a whole lot of people and they're like, oh,

03:55it could be this could be that could be whatever this weekend, but I haven't got anybody who's

03:59definitively said, well, it's because of this.
