The Mavs lost Dereck Lively yesterday, then they lost their game last night to the Timberwolves. Kevin & Cory talk about the state of the team's rotation amidst all the injuries and what it'll look like without Luka & Lively.

00:18I don't want to make it sound like this game wasn't close because obviously it was close

00:21throughout.

00:22It was very close at the end of the fourth quarter, but it didn't come down to a last

00:26second shot.

00:27The Tyree last second shot you heard made it 115-114 as opposed to 115-111.

00:35We can talk about the game if that's what you guys want to focus in on.

00:38PJ had an interesting night with points, you know, getting to the basket, doing his thing.

00:46The three-point shooting wasn't the greatest last night.

00:48Sure.

00:49That wasn't great.

00:50You can say that about the whole team, but yes, that is factually accurate.

00:53So, I mean, and then you're just missing that guy still.

00:58You're missing, you're missing a couple pieces of your team.

01:01And that's what I wanted to talk about.

01:03Although I know if Mike was here, he'd want to point out that he's infuriated that Kessler

01:06Edwards got 15 minutes because he doesn't know his name.

01:10Yeah.

01:11He's like, I don't know who that is.

01:12This is named Kessler.

01:13You're missing a half year starter.

01:14Okay.

01:15Now that is a great point because one of the things that Jason Kidd said, well, he talked

01:20a lot yesterday about the possibility of like, Hey, trying to ramp up Derek Lively

01:24and getting them good to go.

01:26But what he said at the very end, I thought was really fascinating because yesterday when

01:31we found out about the Derek Lively injury, which by the way has already kind of changed

01:38from what Sharanya said yesterday.

01:40So Sharanya said it was a fracture in the foot out two to three weeks.

01:45Now it sounds like the Mavericks and like, obviously I will take their word for it.

01:52They believe it's a stress fracture in his right ankle and it's going to be re-evaluated

01:57in four weeks.

01:58Now that's not to say he'll be back in four weeks because that will not happen re-evaluated.

02:02So did the bone heal?

02:03Exactly.
