Mavs TV analyst Devin Harris joined the K&C Masterpiece during Piece-A-Thon to talk about how the Mavs have started this season, tonight's matchup vs. the Knicks, and more.

00:26Good afternoon, fellas.

00:27How we doing?

00:28We're doing good.

00:29We have now entered our number eight of our Marathon Charity Show today, so thank you

00:34for jumping on with us and talking so we can talk less.

00:39One of the things that I think we've all been really excited about has just been the grit

00:46and determination displayed by this team in the last several games since Luka has been

00:51out.

00:52Not to say that we're not all excited for Luka to come back, but how impressed have

00:55you been by these last few games with Luka out of the lineup?

01:00Super impressed.

01:01And more so, I think JK talked about this in one of his press conferences, the difference

01:07between this team and previous teams is they're built deeper and they're built better to be

01:13able to withstand guys being hurt.

01:15You know, Kai's going to miss a game or two here, Luka's going to miss a game or two here,

01:20and in recent, you know, you kind of schedule those as kind of losses, in a sense.

01:25But the way this team has been constructed is that they can withhold and produce in that

01:30those stats, points, and they're expected to go in there and still compete and win these

01:39games.

01:40And especially the game last night, where it wasn't necessarily pretty at certain points

01:44of the game, but to be able to get guys to step up, and I'm talking about Spencer, I'm

01:48talking about Jay Hardy, I'm talking about Nagy, and obviously the way Kai went crazy

01:54in the fourth, like, I think the team will be better suited for when Luka does come back.

01:59Those guys have gained a little bit of confidence.

02:01They kind of know where they can pick their spots a little bit better.

02:04But I think, you know, going forward, it's going to be more positive.

02:08And I think the team will be better off, you know, with this time that Luka's been missing.
