00:00On Spurs' transfer window, there was growing frustration amongst fans that Daniel Levy
00:08should have had at least three players lined up because of the injury crisis going into
00:12the month, obviously securing Danso very late on in the window. What's been your thoughts
00:18overall of the January window? Because it's not probably been something that a lot of
00:22Spurs fans would have hoped for, they maybe would have hoped for a bit more. Where do
00:25you sort of stand when it comes to reviewing the 2025 January window for Spurs?
00:31Yeah, I think it's got to go down as a disappointment. It feels very reactive rather than proactive.
00:38Interesting around the Kevin Danso deal, there was a lot of talk that move had been hijacked.
00:42I'm not so sure. I think maybe that was part of the plan. Maybe we were haggling on the
00:46fee in the background and when Wolves got the deal agreed, Spurs nipped in. But I think
00:50hijack might have been a little bit strong there considering he was announced pretty
00:53much overnight, having done the medical just a few hours after that and he was broke. So
00:58that definitely does tick a box. Danso, from what I've seen of him, he's quick, he's powerful
01:03and that's something that Spurs have lacked really. He's got a bit of muscle about him.
01:06So he looks a very strong physical player, loves a tackle, it looks like he loves defending.
01:11So I think, and he's homegrown, which is a big tick in the box because that's something
01:14Spurs have struggled with, particularly around the Europa League and the European quarters,
01:18so good signing. But as I said before, it's three weeks too late. We should have had those
01:24three players lined up come January 1st. We've lost games that we should have won due to
01:28fatigue and various injuries. We've been playing with Archie Gray at centre-back,
01:34Ben Davies, who's morphed into more of a centre-back in recent months, but you could
01:39argue he's a left centre-back in a back three, ideally, and if not a left-back. So we've
01:44had to put square pegs in round holes for far, far too long. And regardless of the window
01:48and whether we pull out a last-minute rabbit-out-the-hat sort of Van der Vaart style, which appeases
01:54the fans, we've been far too reactive and not proactive enough, in my opinion, and we
01:59should have got that business done earlier. The caveat, of course, the January window
02:03is always tough. We've seen that with a number of other clubs struggling to do business.
02:08But I'm sure by spending a little bit of extra money, as spurs tend not to do, the deals
02:15were there to be done and help Anjan, the team and the fans, as I said before, who were
02:19paying hundreds of pounds for tickets, much, much earlier in the window. But there's still
02:25a little bit of time left, so we will see.
