Dan Meridor: Military rescue not an option

A military operation to free hostages isn’t an option, former Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Intelligence Dan Meridor says.

00:09Does that give us a clearer idea of where some of the other hostages might be being held?

00:14I mean, what do you read into that?

00:16I suppose, I don't know, I suppose that the location may be known, some of the locations.

00:21But if you try to free them, to release them with the military action, they may all be killed.

00:28Because they are not free there, they are kept by prison, by ward, who may kill them if you approach.

00:34So maybe, even if they know the location, which we might know, I'm not sure,

00:39the option of releasing them by force, by commando unit, may not be a viable one because they may be killed by their guards.
