Former chairman of the Proud Boys Enrique Tarrio thanks President Donald Trump for his pardon, saying his sentence was unjust.

00:02I mean, I got to tell you that it feels amazing to get my freedom back after thinking that

00:09I was going to spend the rest of my life in a federal prison.

00:14You know, and and I'd like to thank, you know, my family, my mother, first and foremost,

00:20and President Trump for for granting the pardon when he saw the injustice that was happening.

00:26As you said, I wasn't at the Capitol and and, you know, it wasn't a jury of my peers

00:34that convicted me.

00:35It was people that think differently.

00:37And I respect their opinion, but it's not fair to me and it's not fair to them to seat

00:41them in a jury in a case with that has a lot of strong political sentiment.
