Luke Hoffman, one of the nearly 1,500 January 6 rioters pardoned by Donald Trump, is feeling "thankful" following the executive order ... and has no plans to apologize for his role in the attempted coup.

00:14I'm just very grateful to get home to my family and get back to life. There are

00:19critics out there who are distinguishing between people who were just there and people who

00:27Assaulted police officers. That's what you were convicted of to those critics. You say what?

00:33Um, I I say, you know in any situation. It's just perspective is important and and you know

00:40If you were there, then you know

00:43you know, it's it's things aren't always just as simple as is a narrative that's given and

00:51things can can happen in a certain way and

00:57You really wouldn't had to be there and know everything that transpired and I think things will

01:04You know come out in time. Everyone watching. This is basing

01:08their their judgment of you on the videos that we've seen the

01:14Thousands of videos of what went on on January 6th, and we did see people

01:20Not saying that we saw you specifically but we did see people engaging in violence with police against police against police

01:27So are you saying that there's in your case specifically? There's gonna be something that would clear your name

01:34I mean, I think my name's been you know more cleared by the pardon, but I think that

01:40You know in my case and that's really what I'll speak of because you know perspective is very important

01:46Of course I have perspective over my own

01:50Case there is that you know?

01:56Is a very important part, you know of of our country and you know, I

02:02Was protecting myself and my wife

02:07You know, what was just a blatant assault and when we were just peacefully

02:13Protesting from the beginning so I believe that there are people that did commit crimes that day

02:21From anything that you saw while you were there or any video that you've seen not that I've seen video wise

02:27I don't watch a terrible amount of media or social media or anything like that

02:33And I don't know. I don't know what everybody's situation was and I don't I don't have the perspective

02:40You know to get to give that answer

02:43Clearly, I mean we saw it with our own eyes

02:46There were police officers

02:48147 police officers injured some died and you see

02:53visually the assault as people try to break into the Capitol and

02:59The police officers they view them as obstacles and they tore them apart

03:04So surely you're not saying you didn't see any of that because everybody saw that

03:10No, no, no, no, you know, I didn't

03:13Like I said, I don't I don't watch much media

03:17And I don't

03:19Participate on social media and things like that and so seeing that seeing a snippet or a clip of something, you know

03:25We'll only tell a small amount of a story and I think each individual needs to tell their own story

03:30and I think that's what's important is that everybody gets a voice and a chance to tell their own story and

03:36You know

03:38Everybody's perspective is important and let's let's just be patient and give time

03:43For those perspectives to be heard and for for everybody to get a chance to add to the narrative
