Our favorite drink at Royal Caribbean’s Schooner Bar

This is the only bar that’s on every ship the cruise line has in its fleet.

00:14the Schooner Bar on Voyager of the Seas. This is the piano bar where every night

00:18becomes a pretty lively show. You know, really just like a rollicking, sometimes

00:22you get the Elton John, Billy Joel, sometimes you get the R&B, but one of the

00:26more fun spots on the ship and the only bar that's on every single Royal

00:30Caribbean ship. So there is a Schooner Bar, even the pool bars have different

00:34concepts on some ships. And I'm sitting here with Dennis Post. Dennis is the

00:58Schooner Bar. This one's gonna be quick today. Yeah. We're gonna do our favorite

01:01drink in this bar and for both of us it's the same drink. This is a toasted

01:06marshmallow old-fashioned. So this is a very simple drink. It is Buffalo Trace

01:11bourbon, it is cocoa bitters and there is a toasted marshmallow syrup. Like I have

01:17a little secret on this one. And of course there is the the garnish which is

01:20usually three small marshmallows. But apparently there is a supply shortage on

01:24small marshmallows. So we have large marshmallows here. I ordered this drink

01:28with about half the syrup. Dennis, I've turned you on to this one as well.

01:32No, this is amazing. And he actually sent us a picture of it and then when we got

01:37on the cruise together I had tried it. I was like, oh my god, this is this is our

01:40favorite. Cheers. Cheers. Very simple drink to make, really popular. Should also talk

01:45a little bit about the Schooner Bar and the pub have new menus. So in the last

01:50six months instead of being just sort of generic bars, the pub is very whiskey and

01:55gin friendly with a better beer menu. The Schooner Bar is a little bit more

01:58tropical, has some has some summery drinks, has a lot of rum drinks. Really

02:03part of Royal Caribbean trying to make its bars a little more novel, a little
