00:07To mitigate their hardships and ease their out-of-pocket spending, the Department of

00:11Labor and Employment created a website and application to simplify job searches, as our

00:22Finding a job is already difficult, and the application process can be costly.

00:27This is especially true for fresh graduates like Justin.

00:38To help job seekers like Justin, the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. is bringing

00:44job opportunities closer to them.

00:46Today, the Department of Labor and Employment and a job-finding platform are offering 5,000

00:52job openings at CareerCon 2025.

00:55The event is one of the biggest job fairs of the year.

00:58At least 150 employers are participating.

01:0118,000 job seekers have registered.

01:05The job fair aims to connect Filipinos with employment opportunities and reduce the country's

01:10unemployment rate.

01:11At least, you don't have to go to every company, you don't have to submit your resume or interviews

01:22because it's also a cost, especially if you're going to different companies, just go to one.

01:28The number of non-employed Filipinos is decreasing, but we're not done yet.

01:35Whatever job they hold, it should be a quality job that has potential to be promoted.

01:49Most job openings are in the information technology, hotel and restaurant, and healthcare industries.

01:55Opportunities are available both locally and abroad.

02:04It's far from the course that I finished, which is tourism.

02:08So I want to do a career shift.

02:11According to Dole, the job fair is not just for entry-level positions.

02:15There are also senior roles with higher salaries.

02:18The agency is also expecting many former Pogo workers to apply.

02:23The government is really working hard to close their companies.

02:28They are asking for help.

02:30The event also features career coaching and masterclasses.

02:34This aims to help workers improve their skills.

02:37TASDA is offering these services for free.

02:40As I said before, the government will apply.

02:52We're making them better at what they're doing.

02:56If successful, large-scale job fairs will be held monthly.

03:06As of November 2024, at least 49.5 million Filipinos are employed.

03:11Meanwhile, Dole is also preparing to assist Filipinos in the U.S. who may face deportation.
