00:00Perak Past Chief Razman Zakaria has apologised for claiming that DAP MP Hannah Yeo was linked

00:08to the Yeo family of the YTL Corporation Berhad conglomerate.

00:13In a Facebook post, Razman acknowledged the factual error and admitted that Yeo has no

00:18connection to any corporate figure or the YTL group.

00:22He expressed his regret and apologised to Yeo, YTL and all parties affected by his remarks.

00:29Razman also expressed his disappointment over the coverage of his speech, saying the

00:34media had deliberately focused on the 10-second part of his speech, referencing Yeo without

00:39reporting on the broader issues touched upon.

00:42Earlier, Yeo hit out at Razman, the Gunung Semanggol Assemblyman, for claiming that she

00:47was the daughter of a rich man and a daughter of YTL.

00:51YTL was founded by the late Yeo Tiong Lei as a construction company in 1955.

00:58It became one of Malaysia's largest conglomerates involved in utilities, hotels and property

01:04development.
