00:00The first mobile laundry on wheels in evacuation centers was launched in Malabon.

00:11The local government of Malabon launched the first mobile laundry on wheels

00:16for post-disaster scenarios in cities where free washing services are available

00:22and will give a big boost to communities that have no access to water while in evacuation centers.

00:29Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and Roderick Tungwal led the Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office

00:35to organize a simulation exercise for the so-called mobile laundry unit in Barangay Catmon Evacuation Center.

00:42Using innovative washing machines, more than 100 individuals were given the opportunity

00:47to try the laundry on wheels on the first day of the free service.

00:52We thought of having a mobile laundry service

00:55so that if there is a calamity, we can bring it to the evacuation center

01:01and our countrymen will have access to wash and clean their clothes.

01:09Of course, sometimes there are people who donate, right?

01:11They don't have clothes.

01:13This is their way to be affected in any way

01:18so that they don't worry about their hygiene.

01:21The Malabon Mobile Laundry on Wheels is expected to go around 21 barangays

01:26to provide emergency assistance and services to communities,

01:29especially those affected by the calamity.
