00:00There are 170 million pesos worth of shabu that were confiscated in Cebu City.

00:07The suspect was arrested.

00:13The 25 kilos of shabu that were confiscated in Cebu City is not found in the port area.

00:20It's worth 170 million pesos.

00:24The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 7 discovered the illegal drug inside a vehicle that came from a ship.

00:32The contraband was seen with the help of their canine unit, Bayaning, a Belgian Malinois.

00:39We were supposed to conduct an inspection randomly.

00:42And then we noticed that the driver of this vehicle was trying to escape.

00:49He killed the vehicle and was about to leave.

00:52This prompted us to suspect.

00:54So we stopped him and opened the vehicle.

00:57We ran the canine sweeping.

00:59And then the canine detection dog, it was placed on the passenger side, on the back.

01:06When we took out the carton, the dog sat on it.

01:12So that prompted us to open it because there was an indicator.

01:16The driver of the vehicle was arrested.

01:19They were also given their cell phones and IDs.

01:22According to the initial information, the driver came from Manila and Masbate before he reached the port of Cebu City.

01:29We were able to get a discount because it was intended for other neighboring areas.

01:39But considering that this is already closed, most probably, market-wise, we can already see it.

01:45For quantities that are usually in the cities.

01:49I don't think that it was intended for Cebu City.

01:53Our port is already complete.

01:55To Luzon, to Visayas, to Mindanao.

01:58The PDEA Region 7 will conduct a more in-depth investigation.

02:03Other law enforcement agencies will also be involved to investigate who the supplier is and where the smuggled goods will be brought from.

02:11They will also investigate all the cargoes and vehicles that will pass through the ports.
