00:00because I was just flicking through it because I was going shopping and I saw the article and I
00:05thought gosh somebody's done a lot of research and passed by I didn't read it and then I went
00:11back and had another look and I scanned through it and the Cerny Merkert didn't register at all
00:16with me which is odd until I got to Donald Erkert, Rose Cottage Tain, Twin Sisters and
00:23the bails started then and I sort of sat down and read the whole article from beginning to end
00:28and thought this has to be the same person. I found the medal I seen the name Erkert that's a
00:33good Scottish Highland name so I just the number was on it 485 so I went to do the usual research
00:41files you get in the computer and was fascinated to find this connection to the Rosshire Mountain
00:46Brigade and he was one of the first chaps to land in Gallipoli and the last to leave and he
00:53survived all that and eventually died of pneumonia and they were having a rest and recuperation on an island.
