00:31This was his response to the question on whether his view has changed with the removal of certain provisions in the substitute bill.
00:38Senator Issa Contiveros filed the substitute bill to amend the original and controversial version, particularly provision in Section 6 of the bill,
00:48where it says the Comprehensive Sexuality Education or the CSE shall be standardized and implemented in all public and private basic education institutions,
00:59and shall be integrated in the school curriculum under the guidance of DepEd and international standards.
01:06Under the substitute bill, Contiveros removed the international standards provision.
01:11And in the end, anyway, if international standards is only one of the guidelines, in the end, the buck stops in our Constitution of the Philippines.
01:22That's why it's important to change that in our substitute bill, that Comprehensive Sexuality Education will only be given to adolescents from 10 years old or older.
