00:00You're an example of personal success, someone for whom personal success is involved in winning

00:22lots of fantastic medals. It's so lovely to see those today. But personal success doesn't

00:28have to be big, and for some of our children, moving into this building was a personal success

00:34of their own. It makes you know that it's okay to be different and to embrace your individuality.

00:41The people that designed and built this building were courageous in their design. They didn't

00:46join it onto the main building, they placed it somewhere that maybe people didn't think

00:50was going to be the right place, but it absolutely has worked, and there was courage in that

00:55decision. And having a space that prioritises the natural light, the open space, the colours,

01:03has created a wonderful learning environment for our children where they feel comfortable,

01:07safe and supported. Having this new building will give the pupils the space and the safety

01:14to explore their world, something which was so, so difficult in the last classrooms that

01:18we had. We can now provide pupils with opportunities to be curious, to wonder about their world,

01:25and to make sense of it. Roangate is made up of wonderfully complex children. They bring

01:31a diverse range of abilities, needs and personalities to the school, and this simple yet really

01:37well designed building is the perfect match for our pupils.
