00:00So Gerjot, you're kind of like team captain on this expedition aren't you?
00:03Yeah.
00:04So Wolverhampton Grammar School and where is it you're about to embark to?
00:08So we're going to go from St B's all the way across to...
00:12Robin Hood's Bay.
00:14Ah, it's a beautiful place, yeah.
00:16And Mr Anderson, you're the headteacher?
00:18I am indeed, yeah.
00:19So what's this all about then? What are the pupils getting out of this?
00:22Teamwork, the experience of having to run through the day and the night in a relay,
00:27working together, raising money for an important course,
00:31which we're raising money for the neonatal unit at New Cross Hospital, which is fantastic.
00:36Yeah.
00:37And just a lifetime that they'll never ever forget.
00:40It's just one of those experiences that students have been on this trip before,
00:43talk about for years and years to come.
00:46Do you remember Coast to Coast? Do you remember when we got rained on?
00:49Do you remember Dr Bradley getting us lost or whatever it might be?
00:53So it is an absolutely marvellous experience.
00:55But the best thing for me is they bring their parents along.
00:58Yeah.
00:59And their parents can experience it with them.
01:01That's good, isn't it? That's great.
01:03And so what is the physical challenge of it?
01:05What's the distance they have to do?
01:07So we're doing 170 miles and the aim is to do it within 24 hours.
01:12What?!
01:13That's crazy, isn't it?
01:1530 minutes on the running, isn't it Coach?
01:17Yeah, 30 minute relays.
01:18Yeah.
01:19So have you been physically doing your training and building up to it, yeah?
01:23So we started 16 weeks ago and we've done a 60 week programme running near enough every day.
01:28Yeah, yeah.
01:29And closing twice a day.
01:30Wow.
01:31And we've just done a little presentation to a family.
01:33I understand they've kind of funded the bags, the expedition bags and the boards, is that right?
01:37Yes, that's right.
01:38So they're a family who are parents in the school who have their own company and they've funded that.
01:44And we've had other funds, if you look, on this shirt here.
01:47Yeah.
01:48Tony Davis and partner.
01:50Great stuff.
01:51Painting, decorating and sponsor.
01:52And yeah.
01:53Ah, yes.
01:54Yeah, great stuff.
01:55Great stuff.
01:56Well, we wish you all the best, Skirja.
01:58So how are you feeling gang, before you're just about to set off?
02:01You're going to pop by Newcross, aren't you?
02:03To kind of say hello to the neonatal guys.
02:06So you kind of, are you excited?
02:08Are you nervous?
02:09A bit of everything.
02:10Yes.
02:11Excited.
02:12Mostly excited.
02:13And do you all think you're physically ready?
02:15You've all done your prep and your training?
02:17Yeah.
02:18Yeah.
